GRIP Privacy Policy

Last updated 6 August 2026

GRIP is a Discord bot for the GRIP family of World of Warcraft addons. It is run by Jesper Driessen (MrSataana) on his own hardware. This page says what it stores and why, in plain terms.

What GRIP stores

What GRIP does not do

Where the data lives

On a single self-hosted machine in the United Kingdom, reachable only through an encrypted Cloudflare Tunnel. There is no third-party database and no external hosting provider holding this data. Operational logs are kept on the same machine and age out automatically.

How long it is kept

Feature state is kept while the feature is in use. Logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted automatically. If GRIP is removed from a server, its stored state for that server stops being used and can be deleted on request.

Your choices

Removing GRIP from a server stops all collection for that server. You can ask what is stored about you, and you can ask for it to be deleted, by emailing [email protected]. Requests are handled by a person, so allow a few days.

Children

GRIP is not directed at children. Discord requires users to meet a minimum age, which varies by country. Do not use GRIP if you do not meet Discord's minimum age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
